My dad was a stripper. Okay, now I've got your attention. Actually, he was a printer for almost thirty years, and the technical term for his skill was -- I kid you not -- "stripper." My mother was a teacher and later a published author. With that combination, perhaps writing was in my genes.

I write thrillers, and it's no accident that thirteen of my fourteen novels--including one for young adults--are legal thrillers. After all, twelve years as a trial lawyer taught me a thing or two about telling stories. (I said telling stories, not making them up, wise guy.)

My latest novel, Last Call, is the seventh novel in my popular series featuring Miami criminal defense lawyer Jack Swyteck and his outrageous sidekick, Theo Knight. I hope you'll have fun surfing through my website. We spruced it up, added more content, and gave it a fresh look. Now you can learn about me, my books, and some interesting stories behind the books. You can even e-mail me. Thanks for visiting, and be sure to drop me a line. I'm grateful to all my readers, and I enjoy hearing from each one of you.

All best wishes,
